As my baby will be coming fairly soon, I'm slimming down the LLL schedule over the next few months so we will only have meetings (still on the first Tuesday) and no coffee mornings (third Tuesday). Hope this isn't inconvenient for anyone. I'll still be available on the phone on 01782 628200 for discussing bf issues anytime so do feel free to call.

We will be running a workshop after lunch for those that are interested.

This is the first in a series of 6 free workshops based on the book "How to talk so kids will listen and listen so kids will talk". They are open to all LLL members (you can join here http://www.lllgbbooks.co.uk/product/438/Memberships/default.aspx or at a meeting / workshop).

2009 Conference

Every year LLL has a big get-together in October but every few years, we have an even bigger conferece over two days. This year is a two day conference in Derbyshire with a great line-up of speakers and topics including Suzanne Colson and Sir Richard Bowlby. As usual, you can bring children, Dads, etc. The links below have details of activities for little ones, etc. You can also go for one day only if you don't want to stay over. If you do want to stay over I beieve the Travelodge in Alfreton had some good deals.

For the cheapest delegate rates, you need to book in to the conference by August 3rd.

We need some hosts for the next 3 months meetings and coffee mornings. Please email geraldine.coggins@gmail.com if you can volunteer. We can't meet without a meeting place! Any location is good. We have had up to 12 mothers attending in the past although usually more like 6-8. We also usually have a fair few toddlers / older children. Generally coffee morning crowds are smaller than meeting crowds. If you don't feel able to host a meeting, perhaps you could consider being a helper? Helpers need to stay around until the end and help the host clean up. It makes hosting much easier if there is someone there to share the tidying afterwards.

It would be good if we had a range of locations as some people are stuck for transport so can only reach certain areas. Helpers should turn up a little early and help to tidy up after too.
